Overview: A Radcon sawdust bin needs refurbishing. The old beams, rafters and battens that support a shade cloth cover are removed from the remaining post and drop segment structure. Rafters are replaced with 45 degree wedges. The tops of the posts are scalloped slightly to accept the natural edge of the rafter. Three runs of trapezoidal pine beams are attached to the rafters with the centre run raised on struts. Bevelled edge silvertop boards are fastened to the beams to form curved battens to carry the shade cloth lining. An additional batten is fixed over the top resulting in a double layer of timber holding and supporting the shade cloth . |
