LEVELIZA is a unique product that maintains consistent mean loudness levels with no compromise in quality or dynamic range of the signal. No compression, no pumping, no drifting of levels between different types of music or tracks, just totally inaudible and transparent level control as if a human engineer was attending the fader. The LEVELIZA can be set up to maintain a consistent volume from track to track and from DJ to DJ. This is ideal in situations where there is no sound engineer to monitor the levels. Even in situations where there is a sound engineer, it allows them to decide on an appropriate level for the event and make changes as necessary (as the event fills up with people or when a headline DJ starts) without needing to constantly manage the volume between tracks and DJs. It is becoming the go-to solution worldwide for top nightclubs and touring systems in being a product that will transparently "engineer" a consistent level rather than crush it against a limit threshold. The LEVELIZA can also help to stop distortion in a system. The most common cause of distortion in a nightclub setting is a DJ mixer sending a high voltage into a piece of hardware (generally an audio processor) that can not handle it, rather than the DJ mixer itself distorting. The LEVELIZA can handle an RMS input voltage of more than +28dBu. Modern DJ mixers (Xone 92/96, DJM-900NXS2, V10, A9 etc) have a maximum output of +22-26bBu. This means that the LEVELIZA will not clip or distort regardless of which DJ mixer is used. If the LEVELIZA gain staging is set up correctly for your sound system, it will bring down the level of the signal if it is over the threshold - this means that it is nearly impossible for a DJ to send a distorted signal into the system. Although the phrase is often overused, this is a genuine "game changer" in that it is changing the way levels in many systems are controlled, offering significant benefits in terms of audio quality and level management.
